In recent days, demonstrations sparked by the violent death of Floyd, an African-American man, by police, quickly turned into riots everywhere. In Los Angeles, California, several stores were vandalized, looted and set on fire by thugs, several police cars were burned and the downtown freeway was once blocked.

On the night of May 29, protesters in Portland lit up the police station and ransacked many famous luxury stores.Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Alexander McQueen, Marc Jacobs, Nordstrom and other stores were invaded and their products were looted by protesters.

About 3,000 rioters poured into downtown Chicago starting in the afternoon of May 30 local time, and vandalism was widespread. A number of stores on Michigan Avenue were ransacked, with sports brand Nike, phone operator AT&T, Starbucks Coffee Shop and others unable to escape the robbery.

In other US states, some fast-selling brands such as Uniqlo, H&M and other stores were not spared, all stores were almost completely emptied, and many businesses had their doors and windows smashed.

Nike also confirmed that the company will close some of its US stores affected by the protests. "Nike supports free and peaceful protests and we do not tolerate violence," Nike said in a statement.

The riot, which spread across the United States, saw police everywhere arrest at least 1,400 people, with more than 500 taken in Los Angeles alone.

On the night of May 30, two of Los Angeles' most famous commercial streets, Melrose Ave. and Fairfax Ave. were tragically damaged. These streets are dotted with top designer boutiques, where protesters have set fires, vandalized and looted.

Including a sports brand store, the Nordstrom mall and the Apple store were vandalized and looted. A building and a small police kiosk were set on fire. When a rioter smashed the front window of a nearby Whole Foods supermarket with a hammer, some people screamed, "Don't do that!" While others cheered.
